Why Work For Midwest Ultrasound

Midwest Ultrasound strives to hire and retain outstanding talent, and our sonographers are among the best in the profession. As an organization dedicated to diagnostic imaging, we are responsive to the demands of the field and we consider our services to be an integral part of a patient's total healthcare experience. We work across 3 states and with over 70 sonogpharers and 15 administrative positions in our organization, we pride ourselves on providing a culture in which our employees are appreciated for their contributions, where they can learn and grow, and where they enjoy an operational support structure that is unique in our field.

We want to be considered the "employer of choice" for sonographers who are passionate about their profession. A few of the reasons why we stand apart from directly working for a hospital include the following:

MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

Our clinical leadership team is comprised of nationally-recognized experienced sonographers; they understand your role and strive to support you in any way needed.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

Our administrative staff is here to ensure you always have everything you need to do your job. We send out supplies, fix any equipment problems, and help address any concerns you may have about your facility.

TOP QUALITY EQUIPMENT

Significant resources are applied to maintaining state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. We currently own about 40 ultrasound machines.

EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT

Our leadership team believes in the on-going professional development of our sonographers. We will ensure you have the appropriate technical skills to provide quality exams. In addition, we pay for you to join 2 professional societies a year, we annually pay for your ARDMS dues, and we provide a generous CME allowance.

Career development takes place in various ways. Depending on your needs, we will focus on training you to learn advanced technical skills (i.e. reflux work-ups) or cross-training you to learn a new modality. In addition, there are occasions when leadership positions become available (i.e. Coordinator, Lead Technologist, or Technical Director).
