Services

Midwest Ultrasound's relationship with client hospitals and physician offices can be:

1. An outsource arrangement for the cardiac and/or vascular lab diagnostic services, or
   
2. A joint venture between the hospital or physician office and MUI.
   

Each of our relationships is unique, determined by which arrangement is most appropriate and best serves the need of the client. In the outsource arrangement, which is the most common relationship, MUI assumes the entire financial risk for providing these diagnostic services. MUI provides the sonographers, state-of-the-art imagers and the management for the lab operations and bills the hospital on a fee-for-service basis. MUI functions transparently in the hospital setting, and the lab and the employees are perceived to be the hospital's. MUI and the hospital will define performance measures which will include patient and physician satisfaction, days out scheduling and report turnaround time.
